What we do
Three programmes, and nothing we cannot show you
A home for children, support for widows, and outreach to the communities around us. Each is run from our own records.
The children's home
23 children cared for since 2024, 15 with us today
15 children aged 1 to 14 live with us today. 23 have been cared for since 2024.
Daily life
Children at the home are fed, schooled, kept and known, by people who know each of them by name. Every admission is documented, with a guardian and a guarantor recorded, and every placement is agreed in writing.
Whatever brought a child to us is kept in our records and nowhere else. We do not describe the children by their circumstances, on this site or anywhere.
Going home
8 children have left our care since 2024, and all 8 went back to their own families. That is the outcome we work towards.
International guidance on the care of children treats a residential home as temporary care, with a return to family as the goal wherever it is safe. We agree, and we keep the documented record of every child who has gone home.
Widow empowerment
202 widows, served in turn
202 widows are on our register, across Enugu and Enugu Ezike.
A register, not a crowd
Each widow carries a numbered card and appears on our register with her household, her needs and her next of kin. When supplies arrive, the list is ordered by who has waited longest since she was last served.
Every collection is signed for and photographed, and the signed sheet is filed against that distribution.
From relief to livelihood
Food and supplies meet today's need. Skills training is how a widow builds an income of her own. We held empowerment outreaches in December 2025, April 2026 and August 2026.
Community outreach
Reaching beyond our own gate
Our Enugu Ezike branch serves widows in a community in Igbo-Eze North LGA of Enugu State.
Beyond our own gate
We visit other children's homes to share what we have, and our Enugu Ezike branch brings the widow programme to a second community.
What we are working towards
These are plans, not yet complete. We will report on each as it happens: free borehole water for the community around the home, a computer school and a music school for the children, and a maternity centre, with a midwife already on our team.
Every figure on this page can be evidenced
Our impact page sets out the numbers, where they come from, and what we can show a partner doing due diligence.
